Get to know better my way of thinking!
>>> Services for associations and NGOs

When I introduce myself as a consultant, I sometimes get weary looks. It happens with non-for-profit organisations and NGOs and also with academics. Why gives the word ‘consultancy’ a bad taste in these circles? Is it the speed consultancy is associated with, a perceived lack of real implication with these clients, the money they would be after?.

In my life as consultant I met a lot of consultancies, in all variations. I re-member one case in which a consultancy firm did some work for a local NGO, and my astonishement that the handouts of the Powerpoint presentation was in fact all they left at the end of their assigment. I firmly believe that my role as a consultant is not to tell you what you have to do but to show you how to achieve the goals you have set yourself and help you to do so... side by side!.

I had the privilege of not only working for NGOs as external consultant, but also working in partnership with them on studies and projects. I have experience in carrying out projects in enviroments with limited resources, such as associations and NGOs. See my projects.
  • Digital Strategy (Internet, Email Marketing Strategy..)
  • Membership Management
  • Database Solutions
  • Organisational Development
  • Change Management Process Management
As a consultant I offer my body of knowledge in the management of projects and change, methodologies for analyses, my independent position in working with various stakeholders and the efficiency in dealing with administrative procedures. NGOs offer their expertise in specific policy area’s, their drive for societal change and their reach to target groups/final beneficiaries. But on top of the added value both sides have to offer to each other there is the precondition that trust in each other can be build. And there the differences in organisational culture play an important role.

Do not hesitate to contact me if you have a project that needs some creative thinking  to become a reality.
